Cannot buy Explorer Edition (to gift someone else)

EDIT: The workaround was to buy them individually for $49.23.

I got ARK by itself over a year ago, then recently got the season pass. Now that it is on sale, I want to buy it for my kid but it will not let me add it to my cart.. Is it because I already own the game and cannot buy a 2nd copy?

This page in a web browser says I can buy ARK + Season pass for $46.77 USD but the button is disabled when I view it in my Steam account.

Well it's only $2.46 that you'll lose by buying the 2 parts seperately instead. You can do that, only bundles are unable to be gifted.

@Pumpkin_Masher, good point! I went the individual route which was $49.23. To the others, I didn't just throw money into my Steam wallet, it has been there since last Christmas.

It should still be there to purchase as a gift, I sent my daughter her ark stuff as a gift from my account so idk why it wont let you. You found a way around it, so that's good but I'm confused why the issue is a thing yo begin with =/

Steam doesn't let you buy gift copies of certain bundles and packs. They used to back in the day, but not anymore.

Oh okay. It wasnt that bundle I got my daughter, I sent her the season pass seperate so that prolly is it then. Ty for clearing that up for me ^^
