or else go to hte install location and delete the ark folder
The lag and such with extinction this past weekend almost made it unplayable, for many many people. My thoughts are because the servers are packed to capacity with everyone playing because it is new. Read what Jen said yesterday on survivetheark.com, " We had our highest number of peak players ever on PC last Sunday which we were thrilled to see".https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/articles.html/community-crunch-158-post-launch-extinction-updates-r1020/
Verify files generally help, and for many people it always comes back you were missing something .. but whatever verifying the files does, it seems to help...
How to verify files:
When you are in your steam profile...
Click Library
Select game you want to verify
Right click to select properties
Click on Local Files Verify
(something like that)
Maybe more optimization to the game would help also.
I wish you much luck. please post back here if a clean reinstall helps :-)
As for the verification I did try it out last week before the previous balance patch yet it didn't fix anything. Imma give it another go
This is my thoughts also, try lowering graphics without turning them back up to see what happens.. that is what the GeForece Experience will probably do..
and \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content and delete the 346110 folder to remove any leftover mod files from Ark
As far as I can tell there shouldn't be anything Ark related in %appdata%
You could also then use a program like Ccleaner to clear any left over Ark registry files
Any chance they might be fixing this anytime soon?
