Stuck in the ceiling of my first cave in SP

I'm playing SP and decided to solo my first cave.
I dismounted my dino and got glitched into the ceiling right *outside* the artifact room of the Cave of the Hunter.
Is there any way to unglitch without using the console commands to force-die & respawn and run all the way back and clear the cave again?

I really don't want to leave my best dino in the dark cave, all alone, with the hidden hissing ceiling snake..... He's scared of snakes and thinks they taste bad.

If you suicide (eat poop). You dino will be in stasis and therefore safe.

Not sure if you use mods. But there are suicide potion mods and dino retrieval mods (awesome teleporters). If you have to will power to only use them only for bugs/glitches, assuming you consider this cheating .maybe add something like that.

Its not realy cheating if you ghost yourself unstuck and then continue on as normal.

The ghost command allows you to go true walls, and thus get out of the ceiling back to your dino.

Type:

 ghost 

to activate it
Type:

 walk 

to deactivate it.

Nothing tracks cheating like that in SP, you are most likely going to have to use it at somepoint in time anyways, might aswell learn to use it now.

Nope there save to use on SP, you could cheat your way into almost all achievements if you wanted to (or unlock them all for matter), obviously that would kill the fun of the game. But saving yourself from glitches is not an issue, they do tend to happen quite often in Singleplayer.

If you play single player mode, you have to be your own admin. There will be bugs and glitches.

Thank you so much for the help! It's so frustrating to be slowly dying in a ceiling with a hidden snake and busted torch, just feet away from the Artifact. lol

If you are not already making redundant backups of your saves folders, START.

I started backups from day 1.
I read the forums a little bit before I bought the game. :)
This is the first time I've used a console command in the game.
I guess it won't be the last time, but
I'll restrict it to glitches.

This is the first glitch situation I had to deal with, stuck in a cave wall. I wrote down the ghost and walk cmd solution for my reference on a post it paper. The next time I was stuck in the ocean floor and was running out of air. I had the solution posted in view and didn't die. Remember this one.
