Corrupted helmet skin and boots skin don't appear inventory anymore?!

Hello,

I unlocked the corrupted helmet and boots skin.. After death they appeared in my inventory multiple times.. But last 3 times none of the skins appear in my inventory. Only the other skins i unlocked appear.

What is this?! Anyone?

It's possible that something happened to where your pc saves things like the skins you've unlocked and explorer notes, and it had to be replaced. It replaces all the skins you got from achievements, because it can see you unlocked those, but it can't see that you've gotten all the notes for the corrupted skins because that's not an achievement.

tl;dr: Just go to the 6 notes again and it should be fine.

But i got all achievements, on another laptop... All other skins do appear but not the corrupted skins. i got all explorer notes and tamed all dino's on the other laptop and i still get those skins :/. Dont wanna defeat all bosses again zzz

You have the other skins because they're tied to achievements, which steam keeps track of across computers.
All skins not tied to achievements are stored only on the computer, so swapping to a different computer would cause you to lose them.
You can always just use cheats in singleplayer to enter the arenas and get the notes again.

I can't quite tell if you're mocking my suggestion as just cheating right now.
Normally, I wouldn't say to use cheats to get skins and such, but considering that they were already unlocked and the op just moved to a different computer, I see nothing wrong with getting the skins that were already unlocked.

The thing is, the event is still on going atm, so most likely next week the problem rises again for the next notes depending on where they pop-up. Would be easier to just spawn in a couple of skins untill the event is over and, hopefully get's a achievement or something to bind it to accounts in a more permanent way. Would be my personal preference.

Also, if the op wants the skins on a server that he doesn't have admin commands on(I'm assuming this) he'd have to just go to the notes to get them.
If op does have admin access though... then I guess your idea is probably better and much faster.

What is op anyway xD and indeed i'm a she. I play on official servers. My laptop gets send back again for repair and they wiped the laptop last time.. Guess ill just wait till its back and go singleplayer.. Die 100 times to have some skins xD thanks guys

Its not entirely strange for people to have 2 computers to game on, so there was no indication to me that it was a new computer just another computer. Just trying to offer alternate options.

It stand for Original Poster, its easier to use in sentances then he or she, since you never really know untill you ask ;)

You could always download https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1237230227 and load it up in single player. Step on the pile of boxes (lags for a bit, due to the number of boxes.. just wait for it to finish), and then all explorer note based skins are unlocked - even the new ones. This does not prevent you from getting the XP buff on multiplayer, since the unlock status for the buff is tracked server-side.

The problem with the skins, is that they are still tied to your PlayerLocalData.arkprofile file (even on multiplayer). If that file gets corrupt, you lose them until you unlock them again. Patch v278.0 was supposed to fix it ("ARK will now scan your steam achievements and update your local profile accordingly to restore any lost skins/hairstyles."), but it seems to be mostly useless :(

I keep a backup of my PlayerLocalData.arkprofile just in case it gets corrupted, then I can just restore it and have the skins back.

Sadly I came here a little late but ill say this for future people at least, there's an easy way to fix it I just found but it does require cheating. You have to unlock all the engrams simultaneously by joining into a single player local world and putting in with nothing before it or after and no quotes Giveallexplorernotes your game will either freeze or crash, maybe both but you will get 10 achievements and after they have all gone through just restart the game and kill yourself. Then there you go. I assume it would work on pc as well. Probably on a server too but that might really mess the server up. With the notes attached to your account or however it works with saving, you should be fine and still have it out of local, just remember to die first lol. Oh and you don't get the boss item skins I don't think, just engram ones. I haven't tried to kill the bosses and test it though so don't quote me on that.
