New Rock Drake!

After hatching somewhere between 50-75 level 228-222 Rock Drake eggs I just got one with the best stats yet. Even better, its purple from the event! One strange thing tho. As far as I know from my extensive hatching and the wiki the feather tips are only supposed to be blue. This lady has green tips. Anyone know how this is possible since green is not one of this weeks colors?

Edit: I did some testing in a ceative world and found out that the color of the drake feather tips acts strangly. Because they are multi colored the main color often doesnt even show. Grey feather tips apear green-blue depending on the angle of viewing.

Rock drakes can be born with random mutations, i dont mean the event ones, even when no event running you can birth mutated drakes, i have a red white and blue mut drake i got non event.

Wild egg creatures (Wyverns, Drakes, Reapers) cannot get mutations. Red white and blue is a possible natural wild drake color combination. To prove my point look at your drakes family line. There will be 0 mutations in the patrelineal and matralineal lines and the parent will be wild. None the less, without an event, feather tips only come in blue.

Interesting. I would imagine if it mutates it would still show a mutation in one of the slots, and be higher, since level and color mutations always come together. Can still be an event dino though. I have one from valentine's day that is bright purple and red with purple feather circles/tips. We have drake breeding enabled on our server, have seen some feather mutations, yeah they always have a pearlescent tint.

Yes and no, the wild dino's we tame during events are also color mutations, but dont have an actual mutation, technically that is the same as hatched wild drake eggs.

But hatching regular wild drake eggs that get a color mutation is also not a regular mutation.
So technically they are both the same, no added stats just a fancy color for your efforts.

yeah, this. Its not a event color, the drake i mentioned i got nowhere near an event, and we got a red mut drake too around same time. color mutated drakes just spawn wild and if you get the right egg you get the color mutated drake.
