Ark default settings Doable ?

So I finished ark Finally after 1000hours, and half of them were probably were tweaking the settings to have an ejoyable game play with difficulty beeing slided to top and gather, tame, rates up.

I wanted to ask is it posible to finish the game( By finish I mean get alpha acesion on all maps) single player with default settings ? Since Istarted one on extinction fresh got to like level 35 tamed some mehatheriums the one was 40+ lvl other like 20+ I tried a drop pod yellow and got nailed by level 130+ corrupted dinos. My velosaur goes out of stamina in like 5 shots that do 10 damage each. I know 3 dinos isn't enough for yellow pod, but say if I had 20 rexes would they handle it ? what about purple or red ? or an Alpha dragon boss ? is the default setting of ark for singleplayer doable or is it completely imposible and just a waste of time and I should stick with my prefered high rates?

Yes, but they are brutal for a single player, especially if you play online. There is a singleplayer setting that scales the game harvesting and such to a rate that is designed for one person instead of multiple. I suggest enabling that if you ever play singleplayer or you'll quit in frustration from the resource farming alone. I use that singleplayer setting but otherwise the only thing I change is taming and breeding multipliers. For one person it just doesn't make any sense to sit there for 20 hour tames doing all the harvesting, protecting and babysitting.
