This is the current page, it does seem they would prefer progression. They may unlock the Orbital Drop letter on similar too MMOs who let the hardcore get the stuff first then proceed from there. But know one really knows they don't communicate with the community about it.
Because you can easily transfer from world to world in Official servers, where in private things tend to work differently and things are spawned and the rules are changed.
The only thing you would have to respec for is the extinction Tek if you where stupid enough to spend all your engram points and respecs knowing there is still a expansion comming. So what would the point be agian of dropping a replicator engram for those that cant respec ?
Again its just the replicator, you get that for any boss fight, you can do most on the island with 20 crappy tamed rexes you dont even need to breed or anything, litte to no effort required. They might just as well give it away for free on this map for those that do want to start from level 1, its really not that trivial anymore.

Im glad there is atleast some info on it now, better then being in the dark and guesing about things.
It should be noted when viewing this, that the obvious follow up question "Then how do you unlock them on extinction " is asked, and no answer is given. Come on WC, really? Are you *really* that bad at communicating with your playerbase? Or are you just purposefully ignoring an obvious and logical follow up question to your statement?
If WC's actual answer to that follow up is "We expect players to unlock them by doing content offered in the base game and other dlc's" then how hard would it be to just say that? This kind of leads me to believe it's not, but hey, at this point, that's only a vague notion based on a lack of a response. For no particularly good reason, it's really anyone's guess. Thanks for making us all guess WC. 10/10
I did. I suggest they remove restrictions on dinos allowed into boss fights (for Gamma at least) , giga say and include exctintion dinos if they don't already. How would many Velonasaurs in turret mode do against SE Manticore gamma?
Of course that doesn't solve the problem of people who don't have a cluster.
I play on an offical settings as possible solo ( 5player max) lan/unoffical server setup for clustering on my desktop. When I want to move between the maps I start up both servers before starting the game. This is all on Haswell 4 core 8 thread cpu with 16 Gb. The servers only take 2GB ram odd once they have started up. Plenty to still run the game and get 30 server fps.
last time i quit cause i raised 30 super rex's and noone on the entire server wanted to do bosses so i thought whelp no point in playing this game anymore and quit :(
i know you can apparently get pods from drops but my tribe has no interest in doing drops ntm we to small at 3 active people of 5 and atm not even near ready dino wise for them.
to me it seems that you want us to fix the dino cap but dont want us to make the item at all that fixes the dino cap :/ why even bother adding it then?
I agree, and for the same reason. The vaguery is a little vague. I'm forced to wonder if not dropping 'those' actually means it's supposed to drop a proper BP instead, a prebuilt Rep, a BP that unlocks the engram, or nothing at all.
And then again why put a tek replicator bp/item (i really dont know what it was meant to be because its broken atm) that doesnt work to the orbital drops? and why ignore hundreds of posts that have been posted pretty much everywhere about this.
