For me, reinstalling doesn't help. I've just learned to say screw it and deal with it since i have an SSD for Ark. The best part about my bluescreens is that everytime it happens, it's a different, random error.
That sucks and same, Ark is the only one like it. I've only structures+ which I don't believe is THAT heavy of a mod.
Here's how you do it:
1. Go to the nvidia site and download the 399.07 drivers.
2. Using Windows Settings, uninstall nVidia GeForce (if you have it) and all other nVidia components by hand. Restart as requested. Restart again when it's all gone.
3. Your system will come back on low res at first. This is normal. You want to see it -- it means the drivers were successfully removed.
4. Install the nVidia 399.07 drivers.
4b. (Optional) Choose custom install and make sure to DE-SELECT GeForce Experience. You don't have to do this but it will make your life easier because GE will nag you to update your drivers constantly.
5. Reboot the machine after the install.
6. Play Ark BSOD-free.
7. Profit.
It's annoying to be on the August drivers in October, but since I made this change about a week ago, all my BSOD problems with Ark have gone away (knock on wood).
