How to reset Unicorn's taming bar???

Ok so I was on Ragnarok near where the wyverns spawn and I was building a wyvern trap for easy milk and I saw a white Equus so I flew down to it and I saw it was a Unicorn! I milked 1 wyvern before checking out the level and trying to tame it. There was some carrots nearby so I could tame it right there. When I looked at the level it was 150!! A 150 UNICORN!!! Ok so I went up to it but I didn't crouch so I scared it away. I got back on my bird and followed it, and tried again. This time I fed it and got on but it bucked me off like 2 times (I haven't tamed Equus in a long time and the only one I did tame was a low level) so I got on it again and taming effectiveness was like 65%! I really didn't want to tame it like that so I picked it up with my Argy and flew it to my base, and I turned around to look at it's taming effectiveness while in the bird's claws, and it was 50%. When I got it home I tried punching it, waiting a long time, and logging out. Nothing worked, so I went to the internet and read knocking it out might help. I did that with 2 licks from a Beelzebufo with about 1995% damage and that wetn well. I was busy imprinting my Wyvern so I wasn't paying attention and when I got close to the Unicorn again to check on it, it woke up right as I touched it xD. I had about 865 health out of about 1250 when it was unconscious. Does it need to heal to reset the effectiveness, or does the lower health not matter with passive tames?

just knock it out and heal it, use tranq darts instead of frog to lower the damage. A good way to heal it is to lure netural warthog to it so its aura heals it.

I have found the way to fix this: I just knocked it out, left the server after it woke up, then (idk if I even let it fully heal) I just got on and tamed it with a few carrots. 100% Taming Effectiveness and really good stats!

Also btw the warthog can heal wild dinos? NICE! I guess I better get myself a few of them then!
