[Help] Ark don't update

i can't join a ark becase they all in patch 282.104 and my ark is in 282.102 so please help me i wanna play i need to update ark but i don't get a update

Be crazy and wild, try to connect to a 282.104 server .... you never know maybe it just works.

282.104 was just a server update, the game is still 282.102. So your problem is not that you need a game update.

BossBill, I am having the same issues. I am playing on a private server and his mods are running the 282.104. I am still at 282.102 and it is saying that i have mismatched mods. However my friend who owns the server is able to play and is currently in game. why is that???

Mismatched mods has nothing todo with your client version, its means that either your workshop mods have not updated, or the wokrshop mods on server are old and you have the new version.

Considering your friend can play, it would strongly suggest the issue is on your end.

Mismatched mods literally means what it says. IT doesn't mean mismatched clients, other wise it'd say something about the client.

I get it that if he is playing then it might be on my side. With that being said how do i fix it? we both didn't change anything and i was playing on his server yesterday

You update the server. Update the mods

Does this work the same for singleplayer games? and if so, how do you update that? Im having the same problem, it just wont update to 282.104, also on top of that, the game keeps crashing sometimes for no reason ... sometimes it works fine, but only in singleplayer.

Im new to the game, so ive been aiming for singleplayer to learn (i know the difficulty and state of the game, was keeping up with the news and problems a little bit) but when i tried joining an actual server the game allways crashes. The worst part about it is that i tried verifying the game files about 10x now and it allways says: 2 files missing, will be reaquired and then IT NEVER ACTUALLY AQUIRES THEM!!!! WTF!?!?!!?

How broken is this game really? The only other game ive seen do similar ♥♥♥♥ like this is Unturned, and ive never been able to figure out or find anyone that could figure out, why the ♥♥♥♥ it screws up with some players and not with others ... like i said, sometimes crashes for no reason... i just start up the game, crash ... the i start it again, works fine, but only for singleplayer.

Maybe i can find a 282.102 server that will work, havnt tried all of them, but yeah, its just a mess.

The correct Client version to have is 282.102
The correct Server version is 282.104

if 282.102 is the version you have, you are good to go, you are up to date.

You will always be playing the most updated version of the game when playing SP. The reason why it's different for servers is because not all updates are forced on the server clients and can be skipped unless an update is required to run a server
