SSD would be better for load times, and the gpu will mean don't expect to run it at better than medium graphics most likely, but the rig should be sufficient to run the game if your expectations aren't sky high. You might find Logical Increments Ark hardware profile article useful. It is about 10 months old and the game has had some optimization since then, but it's a useful tool for comparison.

for future reference... if you see the words HP,Pavilion and Gaming, in the same pc description... run like hell.

They make them cheap by stuffing xx50 gpu's in them and make them not so cheap by slapping "Gaming" on the cover.

As Boomer said ... expect medium settings at best... and thats only because of the 16g m.2 RAM they stuck in it.

You will push out more fps if you drop back to 720p at the expense of quality

It's not far from my system. Mine is I5 with GTX 1050ti , but I have 32gig RAM. I can only run most on medium with some on high.

What kind of fps do you get?

1050 is pretty weak, I highly recommend that you do not buy that gpu.

Save money for at least a 1060 6gb one.

Fairly low , mostly around 30fps

Agree with this. My GPU is a major bottleneck

This is a hybrid, not a rack PC unless I am missing something here? "Intel 16Gb Optane" is pretty much nothing more than SSD cache but you've bracketed it next to an unusual 24Gb RAM combination.

Is this a 2nd hand system with old parts added?
16g optane just screams "throw this fancy sounding thing in and someone will buy it"

@OP .... that optane is there basicaly to house your OS and nothing else mkay.
