Game Crashes on Private Server

Our friends started a private ragnorok server, we were all on yesterday. I had one crash, but was able to restart and play that evening. I got as far as a good size thatch house with no special equipment yet. Went to get back on and it will load me into the house, after about 2 seconds it will crash every time.
What I've tried so far:
1)Verifying games files mutiple times; sometimes it says 2 files are bad and will be reloaded, they reload fine but game still crashes.
2)We all have the same 3 mods (auto torch, item upgrade station, crystal isles) and I'm the only one crashing.
3)Un-installed and then re-downloaded game
4) I can hop on my island singler player fine
5) everyone else can load up just fine
6)My 1050ti GPU has latest driver

the first line of the crash error is:

Assertion failed: (Index > = 0) & (Index < ArrayNum) [File:D:\build\PC\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Public\Containers\Array.h] [Line: 572] Array index out of bounds: 40 from an array of size 40

I can crash ark...if I tab hoard in my browser.

It's the drivers.... you want to install the previous geforce drivers, the 9/18 release ones are seriously broken. They were rushed to support the RTX cards and they are unstable. Rumor has it nvidia is releasing updated fix drivers today but who knows. If you use DDU and install the previous released drivers you should be fine.

Well our other rig with a 1070 had the update as well and it doesn't seem affected. But I'll try and load the previous update and see if it launches

No go on that. But it does launch on single player and hosting a non-dedicated server. Is there any reason it would launch on a friends private server?

I've noticed that, whenever my Single Player mode would crash with the dreaded FatalError thing, Discord would crash and shut down. I would keep Windows Media Player up and running for the past year to make sure that my computer wouldn't go into screensaver mode while I was AFK for 30 minutes (due to IBS); it is strange and unacceptable that having WMP would be contributing to it crashing.
