Difficulty settings
I started to play a solo new game few days ago and want to find lvl 100 max wild dinos.

I don't really know how to do, i put 0.8 in the settings (somewhere it tells that 1.0 is for find lvl.150 dinos, is that true?) but theres only lvl ~40 max.

And how many level up a tamed one can have, please?

The single player slider is different that the 2 difficulty settings you can set in the ini file.

Difficulty 4 is max 120 by increments of 4.

Difficulty 3 is max 90 by increments of 3.


Default tamed dinos can be levels up 71 times (I think).

It's not that at all, i've set it at 3 but they are lvl 99+ dinos and the difficulty has changed alone to 1...

Did you do a wild dino wipe after changing the diffculty ?
I think you need 3.5 to get max lvl 100 on wild dino's, but i might be misreading the wiki chart.

That mod hasn't been updated since 2015.

Better idea is to go to the wiki and learn how the difficulty settings work.

You'll have to do some maths to get perfectly lvl 100 max level dinos because their levels are generally a multiple of 30

I think one last patch has changed it because i can't put it higher than 1 (and i see now lvl 120 max dinos) and the wiki looks have older infos.

So i'm lost...

The wiki is correct, it explains the math and has a handy table to show what values give which levels.

Ok, I had to confuse the difficulty value and the difficulty offset.
I play on the island, so if I'm not mistaken i must put the difficulty setting bar to 0.85 for lvl 100 max wild dinos. Thanks! ^^

Edit: hey wait, i did it since the very beggining and it didn't works... That's why i wrote this thread :/

Maybe a bug, i will try 3.0 another time and see when the bar go back to 1.0
