On Ragnarok, is there any way to tell if a Windmill will work without just placing it?
I wanted to build up my base in my Singleplayer Ragnarok game. Part of that is that I wanted to use windmills in some of the smaller outposts I plan to build, so I don't have to run around refilling gasoline all the time. It seems like windmills do function on Ragnaraok, but that also includes the "variable wind" mechanic from Scorched Earth. As in, certain locations on the map won't provide constant power, it will randomly turn on and off.

On Scorched Earth, you can see the chance of that as part of the heads up display (by pressing 'H' or by checking the info box in your inventory screen, right below where you equip armor.) This doesn't seem to work on Ragnarok. Is there any way in-game to know how well a windmill will work? I'd rather not have to print out a map.

There are a couple of incomplete wind maps for Ragnarok. These might be helpful depending on where you are planning on building.

Don't know if the s+ wind turbine is different from the normal one but i never "ran out" of power ever using one of those. I always though the turbine not turning was just a visual bug.
