Imprinting - I don't get it

The baby wanted Stego egg kibble - I had ONE stego egg and made kibble. I put it in his inventory, and he wouldn't eat it. I forece fed it to him and nothing - no imprint bonus, no nothing. What did I do wrong? Thanks!!

You click e to both cuddle and imprint with kibbles. Kibble probably goes in slot 0.

As KitsuneShiro said - during the imprinting phase if the dino wants kibble you put it into your slot 0. Then approach the animal and it will prompt you to press "e" to imprint or something. Putting the kibble into its inventory and force feeding wont' work.

thank you guys! You know what, I realized that after I posted. I was afraid to put it in the O slot because someone said that if you use it from there, you will just eat it yourself, but then I realized that if I don't use it, just walking up to the creature will work. I'm going to leave this up for someone else, though! thanks again, you guys are always so great to help out!
