Teleporting back and forth from DLC maps?

I'm the host of a dedicated server i set up to play with my friends on The Island map, and my friend got the Season Pass with all the DLC's so I started researching how or if you could teleport to the DLC map and back without losing my Ark player and just have tons of content and variety of dinosaurs. We were planning on finishing on The Island so we could go on a different map like Ragnarok or The Center. I went to an obelisk to see how this worked. It said that I would lose my character on that ARK. Is there any way I could bypass this and go to all these different maps and play the DLC content while all being connected to 1 main game? Or is this just not possible and I would have to play these DLC's separately?

You could setup a cluster, multiple servers, connected, so you can travel back and forth to them.

Seems like a tedious task, but it would be a lot of fun when all the work is finally complete

It works the same as from SP to MP, if you upload your character that character is not longer on that ARK (this is what that message means). But if you upload again on the other map, you can just move back, levels and engrams stay as far as i can tell (never actually tried or tested it though).

In case of Server do keep in mind that the other map is just going on (tamed dino's eating the food etc), unless you shut it down while you are on the other map.

Setting up a cluster, or just seperate servers that allows uploading is fairly easy, check out the wiki for more information on that.

Thank you. I will see what I could do. I will probably just end up making a cluster server just to make it more convenient, but before that I will test to see how this character uploading thing works.

Basically it's like cut and paste. You cut your character from map A and paste it to map B. Once pasted, you will have to cut from B and paste to A to return.
