Way to turn off the server host name and location on a server?
Im currently playing on a Non-Dedicated server with me and some friends and it would be really fun for us to take our PVE style that we currently have and make it a PVP but one problem everyone can see where the host is at all times, is there a way to turn that off so no one can see him? and for the whole host tether distance thing thats not a problem i have it up enough for the host and another person to be on opposite sides of the world from eachother.

I have tried to host a dedicated server but the problem is it closes the actual game to open its little control window and steam wont let me open the actual game up again and i do not have a clue if i got that to work how to join my own dedicated game.

Ya that is the only problem with the host tether distance for me i mean since we are all friends i think we could work something to avoid that problem

Use ASM ark server manager to run the dedicated server.

What is that exactly and how do i get it? i guess just look it up to find it?

Yeah, don't use the game files to host dedicated server. Search ark server manager and download that, and set it up form there.

It's a tool for hosting a server with ease. It will set up firewall ports for you, but you still need to port forward on your router settings.

The server needs to be complete separate from the client.

So i guess other then that there is no way to get rid of the hosts name and location.
