Is there a way to auto-save?
I play solo. There's no save function in this game, because it's supposed to just be constant, and not reloading saves and junk.
I just had a crash, and lost like 2 hours of work, because it hadn't saved.
Do I really have to exit out of the map any time I want to save? Or is there some function that will actually auto-save?
(Forget about the fact that this should obviously be automatically turned on for solo games... auto-save is pretty standard)

Use "saveworld" in the console to save the game at any point.
I don't know about autosave settings.

SP does auto save and saves when logging off

It does auto-save? Yesterday and today I had the game suddenly go off (yesterday was a power failure), both times I lost all progress from the time I had entered the world.
Is there a function somewhere to enable auto-save?

SP mode is buggy.

It's better to run a solo dedicated server with ASM.

For real? That's still a problem? (I did run a solo server for a while maybe a year ago, figured it would have been worked out now...)
Is there a way to transfer the solo world files into the server? I really don't want to start all over again, lol

You could probably just copy the save files for your singleplayer world into the server's directory.

Just setup server with ASM.
Then copy over your map save, tribe save, character save (rename to steam64ID).
