Blocked by tribe
I am not able to transfer to another server bc a tribe has them walled off with turrets and refuses to let anyone leave and everyone who comes to our server is wiped because they say they control the what people are allowed to bring. Is this honestly supposed to be ok?

Report by submitting a support ticket through the official survivetheark.com. Need evidence.

WC has been updating the code of conduct. There have been lots a additions, since community crunch 127 on.

While the CoC may not directly mention something about blocking off obelisks, I do believe it falls under the same rules/guidelines as the Drops.
Walling off, baracading, excessive turreting or otherwise an Obelisk used to Transfer to/from a server the character or tames is against the CoC.

This is why the radius of the Obelisks "no build zone" was increased initially in the first place. Was it not?

I say open that ticket, take screenshots, etc;
Worst case scenerio nothing happens, right?
Though I feel this is abuse of the game and against the CoC just as blocking off Drops is.

haha.. people really sit there and try to save a lost worthless character!

just make afresh one and join some friendly players on a diff server.. like a trapped toon is going to have dinos and equipment he really needs to save? Sounds foolish .

Trapped ?! to funny... they can't stop yo u from deleting the toon, making their efforts to 'f 'with yo u , worthless.

Again there is no reference to blocking obi or drops in the coc at all , here is some examples which is the only mention of blocking on a pvp server at least

--Spawn Blocking--

Spawn Blocking occurs when tribes intentionally block multiple spawn points for the purpose of not allowing any new players to play on the server (including cross server players). In the event your base inadvertently or accidentally resides on a spawn point you will not be penalized.

Here are some examples of what spawn blocking can consist of, but is not limited to:

Using structures that players spawn into and can not get out of

Using spikes/spike walls at player spawn locations

Turrets located on or near spawn points

Dino gates, or any type of structure/cage that is meant to trap or instantly kill a player and prevent them from spawning on the map

Aggressive dinos placed near spawn points in order to instantly kill players that spawn in.

Here is the PVE only rules below

---- PvE Specific Griefing----

> Game Blocking - you are not allowed to block other tribes from playing the game on PvE servers. This can include but is not limited to:

Building at their base

Blocking in other tribes dinos

Blocking access in/out of a tribes base

Obstructing pathways or waterways for the purpose of denying another tribe access

Blocking access to important resources (ie. charge nodes, gas nodes, etc)

Intentionally filling the server tame limit via spamming tames and/or rafts

Notice how there is no mention of any of your interpertations are in that anywhere in either pvp or pve servers ?. By the way build area restriction is most likely for boss events unique to the obi as vaults can still be used to block it so until they fix that flaw its open game for any period .

I dont care if they want to report it or not but to interperate the rules to fit their own needs is the problem here which is why i posted these links
Either way they are well within thier rights to submit a ticket and at the very least question the legality of blocking access to obi's.... as Fox said... at worst nothing will happen.

A max leveled character on official servers is something you dont give up lightly.

Blocking of Spawn-Points wasn't in the CoC until enough people made tickets and complained about it. Then it was listed in the CoC because it needed to be.
Just because it isn't specifically mentioned, doesn't mean it's OK nor that WC is just going to brush it off either.

As I said, it wasn't until tribe's were blocking drops or interfereing with drops that they changed the way those worked.
As well as several other things as well.

Although the way you argue this matter so far, I begin to wonder if you're part of some of those tribes that do this sort of thing in the first place.

Several instances of this had already occured on Legacy servers, I remember reading and hearing about that one too. This is no different.
Which is again, why they changed the radius of building on Obelisks in the first place. Not because of "Boss related" mess associated with them, because by that time they were already moved to their own arenas.

And I suppose blocking of Obelisks in this manner is a form of exploitation or hinderance of gameplay of others.
So in that regard, I'd say it falls under the CoC's terms. But as not only I have said now, that is up for Wild Card to decide.

You want to get upset over others telling OP to open a ticket for officials to handle and possibly address the issue, because you feel they are interperating the CoC a way you don't agree with.
I get the feeling you miss the parts where it says "Including by not limited to.." Or "Examples are.."

They aren't complete lists..
