Adding or Removing Workshop Mod

When I removed a workshop mod, my inventory was completely wiped (not just the mod items). Will this also occur if I add a new mod with an existing save singleplayer game?

It's only if you delete if you add it should be fine but I would put everything in a crate just to be sure

You will lose anything that was altered by the mod.
Stack mods for example.... remove a stack mod and you will lose ALL stacks effected by that mod.
