Cross Play between Steam and xBox One.

It has beena few years since they talked about cross platform but can steam players play with xBox one yet? Really annoyed I may have to buy the game twice. Please send help!

No.... they have completely said no to cross-play Ark with PC because they do not want mods on their platform.... that decision was down to Microsoft.

There is Crossplay for PC. It's on the Windows 10 store. And now there's steam crossplay for Sea of Thieves, mind you'll need Windows 10. Microsoft is for sure the header-up company for Crossplay between Console and PC

Though they enforce the use of the UWP version of the game. So whether they is true cross play or not can be debated. Given realistically whether you're on xbox or Win10 they are both UWP platforms.

I'd be more interested if you weren't forced to use the UWP version.

Any game on Windows store that is cross-play with Xbox is exactly the same version as the xbox version.

Do a little heart surgery on an xbox... and you'll find a windows driven pc inside it. They even add a physical chip to stop you from turning it into a cheap desktop.

i saw nothing about it online when i looked it up. this post is the first i found talking about it.
