All jokes aside though. Sounds like a possible overheat problem which wouldn't be suprising on a laptop.
I would suggest grabbing OpenHardwareMonitor and tell it to log the CPU and GPU core temeratures to a text file. then let it crash again and check the log file to see if it crashed with either of them above operational temeratures.
If the temeratures are not getting too high let us know and i'll have you send me the memory dum from your blue screen so i can analyse it and see if it gives any clues as to the cause of the crashes.
Also, try single-layer or an un-modded official server and see if you get the issue there
I believe in windows 10 the OS automatically uses the integrated chip, but once a DirectX heavy applications runs it should automatically use the dedicated GPU.
Easiest way to test this for the OP is to set in nVidia control panel for it to show the GPU indicator in use when a graphical application is opened.
Also, i verified myf iles because someone told me screenshot-16 happens because of files integrity. well ive done this before and it removed my mods folder, but it did it again, could that tie into all of this?
Hmmmm, possibly, though i don't think file integrity checks should remove the mods folder unless they have changed the way that is handled now.
Have you tried going to the Ark workshop, un-subscribing form all the mods, making sure the mod files are deleted from the mod folder within the main ark install directory and then re-connecting to the server and allowing it to re-download them from the start?
Deffinately try single player/un-modded though and let us know if you still get the crashes.
when it deletes them it reinstalls them it seems, but ill try that out after i test out single player
Make sure they are deleted and unsubscribe from them then try again.
Can it run ark? Yes.
Can it encounter issues if a player doesnt use the proper hardware settings, in game settings that their hardware is limited to, abandoned or broken mod choices and more? Absolutely.
Even if you got a more expensive rig but failed to follow on appropriate settings and mod choices and more, you'd still potentially encounter issues. This thus is just your necessitating to just follow through with adjustments and being mindful of what you have and its all good.
