Reinforced Dino Gate Vs Metal Dino Gate

Being relatively new to playing pvp for ARK, I can't see much of a reason to use metal gates instead of reinforced gates. They both have the same health. My base is in a place where dinos breaking gates is not an issue, so is there a point in getting metal gates? Does it take more c4's to destroy a metal gate than a reinforced gate?

Metal is a higher tier than reinforced, the HPs are irrelevent as its the damage to a tier thats important by an item.
C4 1 hit, reinforced, 2 for metal. (may have changed sinece i last c4`d anyone)
Reinforced can be broken by numerous other items and dinos. Metal, bosses and c4 basically.
