Valentines in Single Player?

Will the event activate automatically in single player? Does anyone know? If it doesn't, how can I activate it / where do I input the -vday command? Thank you for any help!

Not for SP. Only server.

Are you sure? The past years' events used to work for single player too.

I dont think single player has access to the server launch commands, since you already said to didn't know where to put -vday

I have an inkling but I don't know for sure, so I figured I'd ask if anyone knows for sure. When I was googling about this subject, the past years' event threads said the vday event activated automatically in single player. Just wondering what the case is this year.

WC has gotten lazy since launch. I don't think any recent events have been available on SP.

Yeah, last Halloween was.. very disappointing, to say the least. I'd just love to get my hands on some vday-colored dinos. Would be nice if SP players weren't forgotten about completely in general, so here's hoping the event will activate for us too this time. For now I've put the -vday command in the game's general launch options, just in case, but is there anywhere else I could still put it?

Thank you! So under [ServerSettings] in GameUserSettings.ini. :) Just one more silly question, how exactly do I put it? On its own row, of course, but with or without the line? Since nothing else there has lines or question marks even if they're with them in the wiki article.

-vday is listed as a console command but i do believe it can go under [ServerSettings] in the GameUserSettings.ini
not sure if it works in SP but that file for SP is located here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini
you might place the command at the bottom of the [ServerSettings] section of that file and see but tbh i would think it needs a different format like vday=True <- example only
since all of the other settings in that section use a variable after an "=" sign

Thank you! I'll try those if putting -vday in launch options isn't enough. I think it should be enough, but.. you never know. If the event doesn't activate when it even starts (in a couple hours?), I'll try putting vday in the ini with and without variables and just.. try things. Any ideas how I can test if it works or not? Since there's no instant signs such as Dodorex or Raptor Claus.

Yep! I'll do a dino wipe once I'm done taming this karkinos. :) And I checked when the event should start in my timezone, so at that point I'll start testing things more furiously. I just wanted to ask for tips and info well beforehand, so I don't need to waste any event time on that - if it even works in single player. Here's hoping!

Is the event live yet? I've had no luck in single player so far, I think. I placed a ravager right outside the mate bonus range and the heart hasn't popped back due to increased range yet. I tried putting -vday in the game's launch options, and I tried putting vday and vday=True in GameUserSettings.ini, but yeah, no luck so far. Is there anything else I could still try?
