Is it possible to transfer a PS4 game save to PC?

I'm thinking the answer will be no but I'm being tempted with some of the deocration/ease of use mods available and I'm wonder if I bought a PC copy of ark is there a way to transfer my PS4 solo game saves over to the PC to use there or would I need to start fresh?

I'm gonna say start fresh. The file system would be different for each, but as I have no specific knowledge it has A SMALL chance if you could actually extract the proper files from your PS4. That is a very very small chance however since the to versions aren't compatible with each other.

That's what I thought. I've a lot of time invested in my solo game (especially over my leave when I had weeks to work on it) but on the other hand things like S+ where you can make those blasted pillars go to the second snap point rather than the first or a nearby rock or halfway across the map just as you click the button is tempting. As is things like the auto gather eggs or decoration mods. On another hand is another hundred odd dollars for a full game + season pass here. Hmmm oh well I'm at work on night shifts for the next week it'll give me time to think and look at whether I really want those mods enough for the price/effort of rebuilding. Of course if I find a way to spawn the winter wonderland when the island was covered in snow on PC then its a definate buy but we'll see.

Hmm if I buy it from there its steam workable I'd assume. Was planning to hunt around and see if I could find any deals for base game + season pass. As well as decide if the modes are really worth it can't see anyway to trigger winter wonderland Island snow.

Yes that link would provide you with a code redeemable on Steam for Arks base game.

As for the winter wonderland you might be and to find a mod for it, I'm not sure.

Actually there is a way to convert console saved files to pc. My friend had the pc version of Skyrim and I had the Xbox one, Shadowmere died on mine due to a bug so we converted the file and loaded it on her version and console commanded her back to life and then reconverted it back. I'm not sure if it's possible for PS4 to PC for Ark specifically but it's worth looking into.

I think I'll pass as I don't have serious know how and it's not like I can't keep playing the console as well.

I'm at work for another 8 hours or so and may not be able to take advantage of that sale but we'll see.

Not necessarily... We just used a program recommended on... I think it was Reddit? And it automatically converts the saved file xD
