Trike Slingshot KO Broken? (50+ Rocks for Lv20)
I just finished putting around 75 stones in the head of a trike and it's still standing. I've done this hundreds of times before, has something changed the the trike or slingshot to make it much weaker? Even the wiki says this should have taken 28 stones, but i'm on 3x that at the moment. I did this last week and it took 30.

I'm definetely hitting it's head, it recoils and the UI goes red. I'm on Abberation.

Yep they changed it sometime ago. Hits to the head have reduced torpor effect on the Trike, aim for its body/feet/legs.

Lol, it does kinda makes sense when I think about it. I saw a post about how the Trikes tail only swings in one direction, this is killing it for me at the moment xD The trike running looks like somebody that badly needs the bathroom to me.

Pity the damage reduction only works for players and maybe small dinos. If it can aoe past the head, the trike takes full damage :/

Because hitting something in the tail is more effective for knocking it out than hitting the head is realistic.

It is when that head is basically a solid armor plate. Think of it as causing so much pain that it goes into sensory overload and passes out. Much more realistic than hitting a solid bone plate with small rocks. Haha

Well... as Eminence said it IS a massive armour plate covering its entire head. This concept makes even more sense when using tranq arrows. In real life, an arrow to the head for most animals often can be fatal, compared to an arrow to say the back or butt :P. lol
