How do I cheat add experience on a mountable dino?

So my friend lost a high level Jerboa thanks to a glitch, so I thought I'd act as admin and give him a new one.
I've forcetamed one and now I was gonna do the cheat addexperience to give back the levels, but I can't as I can't ride it.
How do I do this to an animal mounted on a shoulder?

You can do:
cheat addexperience 1000 0 1 0
Works for me and gives the mountable ride all experience, the player doesnt receive experience.

Just spawn one considering the level it was.

For mountable dinos you just use the regular command. But I assume you meant shoulder mountable, in which case i don't think you can with commands. So, spawn an alpha rex tamed to you, set it to passive, unclaim it, beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of it until it's weak as ♥♥♥♥, tell the replacement Jerboa to attack the rex until it kills it. Boom, easy levels. Just make sure you're not near it when it happens.

Doesn't work that way. Won't be as strong as it was before.

Jerboas are never strong, its a lvl 1 tame

Of course they are. Mods. They've been a thing for several years straight now. That doesn't mean the op is using mods, but to say the Jerbs are never strong is simply incorrect.
