Explorer notes on Ragnarok
Hi, Explorer notes are still mentioned on the steam site of Ragnarok as a feature to be added. Can anyone who follows dev' streams tell me when will they be added? That map is probably the best thing that had happened to Ark. Only lacks some story.:steambored:

Hey @Sjel, this is Jackson Lawrence one of the creators of Ragnarok. We originally wanted to add our own custom Explorer notes; and we even had our first set done with custom ART and STORY. The unfortunate thing is that at the time we started Ragnarok was only a mod, so the only way to add explorer notes was creating a new mod, which sadly had to be first in the mod list, and only sometimes worked (like a 50/50 chance). Once we went official much like @caduryn had said, they wanted to keep explorer notes to the base maps, and sadly didn't add functionality for mod maps to properly add their own.

Hopefully this clears things up.

Ever? Why do they put it on steam then? Can You provide any more intel on this?

Because Wildcard want Explorer Notes only on "official" Maps, The Center was lucky to already have the Notes at the time they took the Map.

If you can cite an official source that the intent for the rag guys had to add explorer notes has been shelved, that would be great. Thanks.

Thanks, I just needed official documentation in this regard as Im sure it'd come up again and I like to have sources to cite.

And additionally just as a point of information, the only mod made map that Im aware of that does include explorer notes is The Volcano map.

Thank You for Your time and answer. As much as I don't buy that technical mumbo-jumbo, I did get the gist. Maybe it's high time to remove "explorer notes" from Ragnarok on steam shop? Have a nice day.
