Put Food In Inventory To Tame Bug?

Im playing on official and i just knocked out a pteranodon, I let it starve for 2 hours and now when i put food in its inventory it doenst it it. It says put food in inventory to tame even tho i put raw meat in its inventory. Can I fix this somehow or do i have to start from beggining again?

I have the same problem with Daedons when I starve tame them. For some reason they won't eat at all for a few minutes even though their food is really low but then they will start eating non stop. How long did you let the food sit in its inventory?

I've see it take about 30 to 40 seconds before it starts eating. Then stop eating for a moment, then start again.

It can take some time to accept the food. Just to be sure, what food you are using to tame the ptenarodon?

Starving pigs? (assuming this still works) just force them use their healing ability on all their friends in the wild for awhile, the food will drop like a rock allowing you to tame them faster when you knock them out.

I had to wait 15 mins for it to start eating, its tamed now
