Bronto not leaving
As the title says, I have a bronto problem. I started a new singleplayer game a couple days ago and today I spot a bronto preeeetty far away from my house. I keep playing a couple hours and then I hear the dreadful sounds of a stomping bronto approaching my building. Every.. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.. time.. when I start playing in a new game a bronto appears and stays forever near my houses and dinos. What's the deal with that? I'm in no position to fight it just yet and I have every setting on default, so gathering materials to build a wall high enough to keep them out is impossible to do in time. Just why do they not leave? Why do they stick around whenever there is a structure or tamed dinos? It happened to me countless times and I just don't see a pattern.

This happens to me as well... It seems Bronto's are just attracted to buildings. It wouldn't be so bad if their massive tails didn't clip through everything...

You've built right next to a spawn node. You dont need to put walls up.... just pillar it out.

Usually I would build a house near the ocean. Not this time. I'm much further inland, close to the swamp. There are no bronto spawn points as I've looked up where the fewest are and yet there is always this one bronto that comes and never leaves.

Well, for that I need some more time to prepare and venture further which means I'll have to endure the shaking screen and clipping body parts of the bronto for a while

You can disable the screen shake in the options window

The screen shake is the least problem of the bronto. It's the fact that the bronto always walks around and over my buildings 24/7 nonstop. Getting rid of it will be difficult as it keeps coming back. Attacking won't do because I don't have the proper weapons.

empty your inv but for a bow and some arrows..... kite it away.... put up pillars as a barrier

Sure can do that but I wanted to know why the bronto is just not leaving. Once there it stays there. Is it programmed to stay and annoy the players?

Dinos generally hang around in the area they spawn in.

You didn't read what I said before. I'm far away from their spawn point.

As I said, area... Probably gets the AI confused with your buildings.
Either way you're left with killing it on the spot if you got the dinos for it or kiting it away, but make that far away or it might just come walking back.

Op instead of walls try behemoth gates to surround ur area

Well the gates work both ways. Keep ur tames in and wild dinos out. Really the only other option other then gates and walls are spiked walls.
Spiked walls are not as effective with larger animals like the bronto.

I am simple trying to save u some grind time. But yes i agree that brontos are a pain if u are near a spawn point.

But that's the problem :D I'm not near a spawn point. I'm near the swamp in the Western Approach.
