umm...No
That's the general idea and how it should be handled. However, I've seen instances where it wasn't always the case.
Surely, WC or Snails should have an internal policy for such cases... I know it used to be that way for a GM and former clanmate in Star Wars Galaxies - where he used his normal pleb account in our clan, but was an SOE employee. He was forbidden to even acknowledge any and all tickets / requests / questions from any of his clanmates, or faced sanctions.
Well, not knowing the specifics of the issue at hand (never really played Officials - knew it was cancer from the day I joined only to get ganked 3 times in the first 15 minutes of playtime I had) and switched over to un-officials, then shelved the game due to a potato not running it well enough for my taste.
But yeah - if that's not the case - it's one of the worst, most foul things in online gaming. How can one hope to "compete" against those with admin powers. hell, even when I GM'd my own L2 server, I switched the Godmode off in events. I boosted myself like mad - to play the part of the mad God, but players could actually kill me. ;)
They really think this will fly and people will stay playing.
Question is, would people still play knowing that they are showing favortism?
I mean face it, we've been wiped a hundred times. We all came back.
