Completely impossible solo as far as I can tell. Atleast not without masses of ammo and building. I have the map difficulty set to 5.0 or max to get 150 to spawn on the island. But that's not the problem, the problem is the amount of spawns.

The first time I entered the cave before I even made it out of the crouching entrance a 240 purlovia popped out of the ground killed me in two bites. Almost instantly. The real problem is the amount of spawns in the cave. I went back to the entrance and got my stuff back but then went god mode to explore. There were 2 dozen spawns of 240-300 level hostile creatures. That's absolutely ridiculous for solo. And that was just at the very first part of the cave. The whole cave had dozens of spawns 250+ yeti's bears wolves and purlovia. None of the angler fish or salmon attacked at all. Even with ascendant guns and building you will run out of ammo... Such high level creatures are hp sponges.

How? How is this even possible? It was almost as if it was bugged. Even if I could bring a pack of 5-6 perfect tame max level dire wolves they'd get annihilated by a constant 2 dozen 250+ spawns.

the whole cave looks like this and this is just the entrance. Is this normal? 5 polar bears, 6 wovles, 4 yeties, 4 pulovia in the distance and who knows how many fish. And that's after killing a few.

You can pretty much clear the entrance kiting everything to the hole that you must crawl and killing them safetly.

Grappling hooks are your best friend on many parts of this cave. You dont need to kill stuff if you can bypass, let them stuck or fall from cliffs.

If and only if they've not altered the respawn speed for dinos though. If they've upped it then that kiting will become endless.
