I have verified my files, updated my graphics card, and turned down my graphics settings in the game menu.
The day before (April 26th) I was able to play just fine on my singleplayer game.
char buffer[100];
for(size_t index = 0; index < 1000; ++index)
buffer[index] = '\0';
I thought they were teaching this in school these days....
Anyone know of a solution to fix that problem? That is what the crash says.
I cannot play because of the:
Assertion failed: (Index >=0) & (Index < ArrayNum)
[File:D:\build\PC\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Public\Containers\Array.
h] [Line 572]
Array index out of bounds: -1 frmo an array of size 0
It would be nice to play again.
1. Go to the steam help menu, click system information, and paste -all- that information here. The reason why is it is more detailed and it is what -steam- is detecting for your playing for ark. There are frequently differences or details that get left out when players just say "I got xyz" that can have relevance thus.
2. Go into your in game options menu for comp settings. F12 or similar screen shot it and link the screen shot here. Just like with 1, the details and accuracy of that information is more helpful than just saying "x settings".
9 times out of 10 the source of issues is that there is a compatability issue between 1 and 2 but not necessarily always.
Thus..
3. List by name -all- mods being used.
4. List -all- 3rd party programs running in the background. This should include any fps meters, hardware monitors, graphic enhancers, virus checkers, and more.

correct pic ^
IF you are in Aberration and using radiation suit, make sure your suit has durability. I believe at least one possible "Array out of bounds" error is due to durability loss on a radiation suit that is at 0 durability causing the 'hit points' (if you will) of the armor to fall below zero which is unexpected and causing a client crash. Sorry if this does not apply to you.
So looks like, this array out of bounds error can happen related to any armor
Yes.
Stop trying to index call an item from a null array.
Your game is trying to get a piece of data from an empty array of data.
An array is a structured sequence of stored data, like a line of data elements separated by commas, or stored in locations "like a bingo card".
Your array contains nothing (not a problem)
Your game is trying to get a piece of information from that array (problem)
Programmers usually go to great lengths to keep this kind of thing from happening. You may have a mod that is bollocksing up the issue. Modders don't always have access to exactly what and how the data is stored or used.
Edit: Really? B o l l o c k s i n g is a bad word???
