Agreed, but I'm 23. I'd gladly pay for a censorship option if they added it as a DLC just so I don't have to deal with annoying censorship issues. I wear armor with my characters, mainly the hazard suit cause personally I think it looks pretty nice, but dam if I could pay for a censorship option I would.
Remember those?
LOL Yes! My dad got me a few of those figures and a tank to go with them when I was little. The tank was almost as big as I was when I was a kid and I loved pushing that thing around! Anyway, even if they added legit nudity or smoothed out the characters private areas, either way would be fine with me as long as I don' thave to deal with massive pixalated circles and bright lights passing my screen.
If they added censorship options, and as a dlc, I think it would be fair since people could purchase the censorship option dlc if they don't want to deal with the censorship in the game. Other than that, PC has mods available. I've said it before but my PC can no longer handle Ark anymore. My videocard is bad and I don't have the money for a new one so I just play on console. I can't mod on console cause I'd be breaking the terms of service for console use.
Either way if I had the option to control censorship in the game, as an adult player, I'd feel a little better knowing that if I did so happen to have kids, I had the control over censoring the game or not.
Then being here to discuss this is pointless because:
1. Devs intentionally and rarely interact on here. If you want to discuss your console lamentations, then go to dedicated forums for either PS4 or Xbox on the official website or even their gen pop discussion section.... or even better yet twitter and reddit where interactions are more forthcoming.
2. While xbox may and no word on ps4 in the future enable mods, you have to roll with what you're given. Otherwise shelve the game until it matches your obsessions or shelve it indefinitely.
3. The "censorship" has more to do with marketing and revenue. They want the preteen/teen on up market versus higher rating and restrictions(after all some brick and mortars also restrict how and where such are placed on the shelves too and other things.
4. When the game launched in EA it didnt even have the blur skins to start, that was added later per an event way later. They didnt have to do that and just have left it as a folks are underoo clad only.
I understand your wants but your wants just do not match the reality of your situation and thus you either roll with it or follow suggestions in point 2.
Please don't suggest stupid things to me as I've paid for my game both on PC and console including the DLC. I'm going to play a game I paid for.
Now, with the skins, you said it yourself. They didn't have to, but they did. They added a nudity skin within the game and unfortunately their way of censoring the skins is a little ridiculous and in some cases can be broken when theres either a mass of censorship or a blinding light covering half of your screen.
Yes, I know they keep it censored for the rating, but there are a few games out there rated T and still show a little boobage. I just want a way to either tone down or disable the ridiculous censorship.
If you want to see naked toons then play those other games then. You are making a suggestion so how about you head over to the correct forum SUGGESTIONS.
You obviously haven't read my post properly then if you think I just want to see the nudity. If I wanted to see nudity I have websites for that. I've said time and time again on this thread that THE CENSORSHIP IS PHYSICALLY BLINDING ME. Ffs, if there was a way to tone it down or turn it off I'd do so so I'm not getting BLINDED by my TRIBEMATES that wear the skin. I wear full Hazard suit and don't wear the skins other than the bunny ear hat skin but you know what. Yeah, I absolutely enjoy getting blinded by my tribemates that choose to wear the skins. Because I'm just some 23 year old who paid for a game with nudity skins and ridiculous censorship and just love getting blinded. Its great, its the best.
You didnt pay for nudity. Please cite where that's listed in the store page on steam or anywhere else.
What you mean to say is you paid for your game:
1. on consoles(which pre purchase you knew did not allow mods nor nudity).
2. On steam where you could play with mods that give you your wants but -your- computer broke and thus you feel entitled to employ an informal fallacy tactic to say that because you got it on the console too you deserve the ability to have either modded content or the ability to switch on nudity as you wish for your wants.
So again your wants do not and will not match the reality of the game and your situation no matter how much you roar your terrible roars or gnash your terrible teeth or show your terrible claws.
Thus again, either roll with the game within your modest means(pun very much intended), shelve it until it matches your inane sensibilities, or shelve it indefinitely.
Well he does call himself Ecchi(perv) samurai. Given this context and some other context with him, I'm sure there is motivation with his obsession on this point and his torch waiving inanely about censorship. All he needs to do is get a new comp and his wants are met though. I expect we'll be hearing he expects them to buy him a new computer too, soon enough... especially in the way his malcontented axegrinding is going about.
Holy sh*t you're entirely missing my point aren't you? Just because my name on here means lewd/perverted you really think I'm going to go there because I'm being blinded by their ways of censorship? Are you a mere child abiding by your one sided logic or something? I've already stated I'm not going on about this for the nudity. I'm going on about this because I'm being blinded by the damned censorship intensity when its not the grotesque ball of pixels, but rather the bright light that is the overall censorship breaking. I'd be perfectly fine with them toning it down, as I have, once again, said before.
You keep pushing the point that its just solely for the nudity aspect. That I'm just being selfish in my "wants" and "needs" when in reality, its disabling my ability to enjoy the game to its fullest when I literally can't see a damn thing.
The issue is that the censorship on the birthday suit skin (which many people seem to use to hide their actual equipment) goes way beyond the model itself and thereby distorts the view next to the player wearing it in an intrusive and distracting way.
Potential solutions for this:
-Option to turn off the censorship of the skin client side
-Rework the censorship to black bars or a simple blur-filter covering the areas in question (and not much around it) instead of the pixelation that hovers around the whole model
Seriously, thank you. I don't know if they were being serious with their replies or just trying to produce salt, but trying to explain actual issues I'm having disabling my ability to actually enjoy the game due to my tribemates choices of skins is getting to be very tiring.
