ARK from Steam and DLC from Microsoft, Will it work?

I own the base from steam, Microsoft is having a sale on their store. If I buy the season pass from Microsoft, will it work with the steam base game?

It's only a few dollars cheaper then steam has it, however, I also own the Xbox version of the game without any DLC, if it works with steam, I get the DLC for both systems.

This is my first time asking for information from steam, I apologize if I did something wrong.

no it dont work if you want the season pass for steam you need to buy it though steam if you buy it though microsoft you will get it for win10/xbox one with just the one buy hope this helps

That does help, thank you very much! One more question. If I buy the Microsoft version, will I still have access to the mods I have through steam? If not, can I get mods another way?

No.

Steam is a seperate platform from the Universal Windows Platform(ie xbox and ms store win10 uwp version)

Modded content is at the moment exclusive to the steam platform.

Just unsub from it and ignore any responses there after to it if you so desire. You cant lock your own threads without asking for a moderator to lock it(which is a waste since someone else may organically have questions similar(there's been like 3 threads similar to this in the last day or 2 for example)

Steam = PC version.

No you can't migrate DLC from one platform to the other.

so, I own the Steam version of Ark Survival Evolved. Friends of mine play the Microsoft version. I cannot play on the same game server that they play on correct?
