Dino just dies from bola-slingshot?

So I have been googling and watching videos, after several failed attempts at knocking out a Dino that is immobilised by the bola. However nothing has proven helpful. I therefore ask, is it possible to use to the slingshot to knockout a Dino, after you’ve thrown the bola? After 5 attempts where the Dino just dies from the slingshot, rather than getting knocked out, I’m sorta loosing my head here. The Dino in question is a parasaur.

You didn’t answer the question in my post though.. Is it possible to knockout a Dino immobilised by a bola with the slingshot?

Heard something about they nerfed the slingshot because it was used actually like it was supposed to : to knock out stuff. So they made it totally useless.

yes

Slighshot works with almost every small/medium dino, but they are only good for low level dinos.
for highlvel dinos you require tranq arrows. I would also suggest that you always aim for the head. Thats the most effective way to knock them out

Don't tame parasaur just hand get everything until you get enough arrows for a trike. (if you really want to club/slignshot soemthing just dododex it and see the death chance.

train up for tranquilizer arrows ... doesn't take long at all ... once you have Tranq arrows and some narcotics your in business ... first dino is a Trike .... as you can get loads of narcoberries to make more tranq arrows and narcotics ......then you have started the learning curve

oh .. don't forget you can trap a dino too ...... as you can build stuff !

You have a 6.7% chance of killing a lvl 50 parasaur with a slingshot. Head shots require less shots.

I would recommend utilizing dododex for taming, it will tell you how much of what it takes to knock it out and the chance of death.

If you are repeatedly killing them its possible you are taking too long between shots.

Thanks a lot! The only question I have left - does face count as head? Or do I have to hit it in the back of the head?

if your killing the parasaur with a slingshot after bola then i suggest you,,,,, A)use fists B)lvl up and get tranq arrows or darts C(go for a high lvl parasaur that has more hp D)trade with somone for tranq darts and a rifle
