How do you deal with Leedsichthys?
My friend and I live on Herbivore Island on a server, and we have a ton of dinos on the mainland. However, we can't easily move them over because there's an leedsichthys and alpha leedsichthys between the mainland and our island. What's the best way to deal with them?

trap them. put behemoth pen sticking out of the water open door on one and park a bunch of rafts in it. when they go for the raft close the door and ta-da you have a prime fish farm

Train a garbage Ichy. Spend a day leveling his speed and stamina by eating coelocanths on the coasts. Lure it away.

Calm it with honey.

Or just don't try putting your main base on herb island.

The above suggestions plus some others(though not all may suit you they can be things to consider:

If you are on an official server or one that does not have some of the points mentioned in the second half of these suggestions under "Server you control:

1. Make bridge to the mainland.
2. Dont live on herbivore island.
3. Get to tek level and set up a teleporter between the island and mainland as needed.

If on a server you control:

1. Destroy all wild dino's command to temp remove them from the area causing issue or the other command for single target purges.
2. Modify the ini files so that leeds do not spawn.
3. Modfy the ini file so that leeds does no damage to rafts or .5 damage or some such.
4. Use mods that either change leeds or boats to make this a non issue.
5. Use the mod awesome teleporters or dino pickup or similar dino transport mod.

have your buddy sit on the back of your boat with another raft ready to put in the water.

As soon as the tuna is spotted, drop it in the water as a decoy. It will attack it and let you get away

I live on herbivore island too and a bridge is easy to make. Don't forget you don't need to have pillars from ground to ceiling, only a small pillar on ground is enough, and ceiling will be supported, as explained in this video :
