Low Quality Resolution?
So, no matter what I set the in game settings to, on the highest quality, everything on epic, my resolution looks a bit lower, especially when i look at things like grass, bushes, trees, leaves, etc in the background. Like my antialiasing is off.

Does anyone know a fix? I have a 1060 6GB, 1920x1080 screen.

Yep. My resolution slider is at mx 100, and my resolution is set to my screen size of 1920x1080.

Take a screenshot of your graphics settings in ark

Just tried to, said "Unable to retrieve settings. Try again later." The entire setting-current-optimal chart is completely blank.

Might need to refresh it. I usually rely on geforce experience to adjust the settings since some times you don't know what's causing x problem or frame drops and such. Once you try again, see what it gives you

Just a side note i dont think a 1060 can run epic at 1080p.

It could be the cfg file is messed up. Delete the cfg folder and verify files to re acquire the files.

But its weird that geforce experience cant tune it.

Delete experience, its garbage if you know enough to set it up. Then just reset 3d settings in Nvidia Control Panel and adjust the rest from game.

Don't need to. It's not causing any problems for me. Just using the settings it gives as a base does help me where to adjust anyways.

Not thinking you are the OP here. Its bloatware at best, if I were fixing his PC, it would be on the gone at reboot list.

geforce experience is a joke.
It'll put some settings to "potato" while leaving others high, but giving the overall potato effect to everything.

I don't believe that is the case, at least for me. My custom settings before the ark profile came for geforce experience was close to the one recommended to me and actually gave me better, in terms of performance.

As for the OP, it might be how it's shown in Steam, but I don't see any issues with the screenshots you gave.

I'm not saying the performance change is bad, but it comes at a much higher visual hit than you could easily achieve otherwise. Like how one of the first things it does is turn ground clutter completely off, which looks like ♥♥♥♥. Especially since ground clutter isn't even a heavy setting.
