How do you fish from the back of a pelagornis?

So the wiki says you can fish from them but I have been trying for a while and it does not let me use the fishiong rod when on the pelagornis. Anyone know if there is a way to actually do it?

Hmm... I've never known you can fish from their back either. I know it can get fish easy. Perhaps when wiki says you can fish with the peligornis, it means you can use the tame itself? not the fishing rod? or does it actually say you can use the rod?

Use the fishing pole while mounted on a Pelagornis which is floating on water. Pretty straightforward.

Doesn't work for me either. Not sure if it is bugged or if certain server mods interfere with it on unofficials.

I read it on the wiki page for the fishing rod so it was for using the fishing pole from the back of the bird. It was listed next to the chaie and bench. Perhaps it is something for a future patch or something because no matter what I try currently it does not seem to work.

Can anyone one that plays official confirm if they can use a Pelagornis for fishing? Kinda interested to know as I was unable to fish from the back of one just recently on an unofficial server.

I used to do it and it was pretty sweet. Then I logged in a week later and it wouldn't work anymore. Either they took it away or it's bugged and they are not fixing it. All you had to do was land on the water and select your fishing rod. Hope that helps.

The mod that causes it it to not work is the Classic Fliers mod.

Any type of mod that edits the creature will disable it. It seems to be a very specific feature to the peligornis that is coded differently. Pretty much any modded variant will disable it, it should still work fine on unmodded servers.
