Aberration Breeding Mutations.
So i have been breeding megalosaurs and i have bred somewhere in the range of 30+ babies and i hadn't seen any mutations in anywhere. Is anyone else having luck with mutations?

Mutations are rare. Have you ever watched any of the YouTube mutation videos?
I haven't had any issues with on other maps just on the aberation

Yes, Food Mutation on a Glowtail.....really helpful.
Color mutation on a Ravager, complete mustard colored now.
hmmmm okay then I just havent bred enough then.

I found Aberration version of dinos (like Aberration spino etc) did not get mutations while on the Aberration map (it might be just random, but about 50 cross breeding on various ones and no mutations) While the 'native' dinos like Growtails and Ravagers got mutations alot.

Moved some to the Island map and they got mutations first go.
Now again, it could be just random bad lucky....but it appeared to be a pattern. Like Aberration version of normal dinos are immune to mutations....(and radiation)

But random being random, and the normal chance of mutation only being 7.4%....so who really knows.

I would love to know if players have got mutations on Aberration versions of Aberration dinos on the Aberration map, so I know if I am just having bad luck or there is really a pattern.

I have had 2 mutations in total, 1 each for my Aberrant Spinos and Bulbdogs. At least 50 babies all up so seems OK to me.

Some guy posted on here the other day that they got 2 mutations from 2 consectuive egg hatches. RnG gods and all that.

ok keep in mind that with color mutations that it will pick a region on that creature...even if its on a spot that isn't one of its color regions and for the megalosaurus it have 3 color regions: 0, 4 and 5 so there could have been a 50-50 chance that the color mutation targeted a region that it doesnt have colors on being color regions 1,2 and 3

Okay then I guess ill be doing my breeding on a different map XD. I can keep trying on ab too but I wanta do boss fights and that needs those mutated dinos!

U can hit spouts of odd luck. I got some 15+ male spinos in a row. Plus ravegers and raptors all male. No major mutations. But just like that my ravegers went from redish Brown to beige and white. Now i have a bright red belly
