Tips on farming Organic Polymers?
Most of the guides I've came across are killing Kairukus (Penguins) in the snowy area of the map. However, the area that I'm established in is on the other side of the map (south area). I really do not think its a good idea to travel to the northwest side of the map with the level and gears I have. There are a few places not far from my base my base that spawns Hesperornis (bird looking creatures that lives in rivers), but they come in too few of a number and spawns rarely to provide the amount of organic polymers I need to maintain my ghillie armor.

Is there any alternatives of farming said resource, or is there a spot where I can farm a huge number of Hesperornis near the lower half of the map?

Tame a snail or ten?

if you make veggie cakes tame a snail they give you cp and polymer

You might want to consider making a raft with the appropriate crafting stations for what you want to make. Use it as a mobile hunting base and you will be much safer. Just keep the raft close to shore to avoid the leedsichthys. You can check YouTube for raft building tips. You can also gather pearls and oil while you are there.

Not to my knowledge... but you can put the Organic Polymer in the Fridge, so if you cleaned out the penguin colonies, you can store the excess Polymer.

And as mentioned before: Snails produce Organic Polymer as well, so if you got Veggies and Honey going, you can make the cakes to keep your slimy friends happy :)

Tame a pelagornis. Or use a club on the penguins. You might have to make a quest out of traveling to the other side of the island.

Edit: Make fur before going to the snow.

Your wants just do not match the reality of the situation on the map.

The only reliable sources for consistent and expedient farming of organic polymer is first and formost club bash harvesting penguines and secondly snails.

Either way you'll be spending time either to do it so it just comes down to which method is the least frustrating of the two.

Outside of that if you're doing all this in single player or on an unofficial server, there are various mods that can either supplement the way you gain such polymer or make traveling to the penguines super easy or similar.

The fridge doesn't allow you to put organic polymer in it nor is it a place to keep it fresh

Keep it in a snail for increased shelf life though. They are org poly fridges.

Pelagornis method works rather well. A snail also stores organic poly for you. But unless you're making ghille, just get the "hard poly" you craft from obsidian and cp. Very easy to do in bulk with a little prep work. Venture up the top of the Frozen Tooth (smaller mountain just west of volcano) for lots of it.

Shame you can't do mods. The S+ fridges hold organic poly, and the auto ark mod has a structure that converts poly between normal and organic.

Moshop with farm on poly is awesome to! Catch some Stuff, kill them, let the moshop farm them ! :) Achatinas arnt the best way to use, because:

- Passively produces 1 Achatina Paste per minute within its inventory, up to 100.
- Passively produces 1 Organic Polymer every 45 minutes, up to 100.

After 1 Full day (24h rl) u get 32 Polymer with 1 Achatina, but its spoils, so who knows how many are left at the end.

S+ fridges do, along with preserving salt as well.

Steam Punk smoker will store it as well
