Im guessing you're playing unofficial, so 513 metal is probably one hit of a metal node, shut ya damn mouth

Astaroth Jan 18, 2018 @ 2:13pm

500? you mean 50k right? for a 500 damage crossbow, thats nothing

anyway after a few hours of grinding i got a crossbow with 521% dammage because of the crafting skill stuff

If you're doing this also via the mod known as Upgrade station, there's a way to make a green mat requiring blueprint to the cap %'s but have the mats of said green level only(ie not ascension level).

But complaining about the materials for a 500% range weapon normally though is a bit silly. Such a high end weapon in a normal game context is pretty strong/sought after and thus is appropriate.

Ha...just today, I found a blueprint for an ascendant longneck rifle...2000 metal.

But of course, I'm going to make it, even though it's only 203% damage.

Is this Topic a **** Joke...?

I have a Rex saddle BP that is only 56 armor. Cost 52000 Hide, 35000 Fiber, and 15600 metal. On the flip side I also have a Rex saddle BP that is 186 armor and Cost 4350 hide, 3000 Fiber and 565 metal. So it's all random

That is one heavy crossbow. That is one of the ridiculous things about this game I am not sure I will ever get used to. To make higher quality items, you just throw more resources at it. Like using 500 metal is somehow going to make you a better weapon than using 100 metal. How does that work? I can understand maybe adding some tools or workstations that can refine metal even further making it more pure and strong but just throwing more resources at it is a pretty dumb mechanic. I would have just made it that you had to add extra stuff to the recipe to make it better, like maybe a couple of rhino horns or argent talons.
