S+ strucures bug?
I have done buildings and stuff of S+ structures, and I am uising all kind of stuff that is S+ structures. But a few times now when I am logging in to the game the mod has disappeard from the engrams menu, and all the stuff I have have been placing out are gone. Whats wrong, and is it a way to get it right again?

go to s+ page. read 'bug reports' dscussion.
the fault lies with you. not the mod

If you let the mod download fully before starting to play your singleplayer game then this would not happen. All you have to do is load previous save from your singleplayer game and you will have s+ back.

give a man a fish and you feed him for a day... teach him to go to the mod page and he will learn to do for himself

I've been playing ARK for a long time. I love the S+ mod (or I love it when things are working). @muntharr Given the sheer volume of posts regarding the mod and problems related in some way to the mod you have to wonder at some point where the fault actually lies. I imagine there is partial fault - some the player and some the mod. I never really have found useful information from the "bug reports" discussion. There needs to be a dedicated collaboration on how to restore things when something goes wrong regarding S+. I wish people would just exercise a little more patience when helping people who may not have tons of knowlege regarding mods, file saving, corrupt files, etc... :)

Actually except for the Buildings erased trough the "DisableExtraStructurePreventionVolumes" Bug during Server Restart i can't remember any incident where stuff got lost due to a Mod Bug.

Structures Plus is known for this. People are impatient and log into their game too quickly without waiting for the update to complete. They usually panic post about it and almost never go to the mod page where it shows this is a known issue that is USER related.

@AnnieO I think that is helpful for people to know who strictly play with singleplayer. Do you have any thoughts for server admins? What would cause problems when the mod is updated and it messes up the server?

you read the wrong stuff. there is little wrong with the mod especially with regard to disappearing structures. it does have other issues though... it isnt perfect.
as to the patience... the issue is adressed in the bug reports thread... at the very top. it is also adressed over and over in the comments section.

Correction - All mods are known for this. If ANY update of ANY mod is interrupted whether its on a server or SP the world will load without it.

Like you said, its a user issue that is 100% avoidable.

I know, i was just polite to not call them s....d i....s

@JokingVortex, most probably that it wasn't updated completely.
the SteamCMD usually used to update the Server has some problems with large mods and tends to skip some files then. So if you're unsure if the mods are fully updated best to copy them from the Game Directory to the Server.

Thanks for being polite and not calling people bad things.

In my experience, with servers, I usually do not know there is an issue until I get on, stuff is gone or there is constant crashing. What would the smart move be then? Uninstalling and reinstalling mods and launching with an earlier saved file? Can that reduce loss when something goes wrong with S+ or any mod?
