Which map to have main home base in? - PvE SP
Hello,

So I've come to the point in my singleplayer adventure that I am going cross all the maps and making little bases (really close to obelisks for easy access and teleporting from base to base and map to map) on all the maps.
Which map should I make my main base at (where I store most of my dinos and resources)?
I was thinking Ragnorak cause it has a nice mixture of biomes, but also I liked the idea of Scorched Earth cause the areas near the Obelisks are really beautiful and would be very cool for a huge base.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Either Ragnarok or Extinction I would say. Rags cuz it has most of the dinos, extinction because its easy to get those wonderful pods

Ya that's a good point for those pods. I was thinking also for element. Isn't extinction the easiest to get element on? Also, element it'self cannot be transfered from map to map right?

Both correct. You can get element dust ( and electronics/scrap etc) from killing tech dinos on any map, albeit only tiny amounts.

You're asking potentially a subjective question as you're wanting aesthetics and we cant really answer that for you since we're not you.

As pointed out by onz, you can get dust etc from the tek dinos.

Additionally, you're playing in single player. Technically you can use admin commands to summon in any resource or dino you could want from any map.

Additionally, you can choose to play on mod maps which also have biomes found in aberration(and I think there's at least one out now that has the extinction biomes too but I may be mistaken.

Additionally you can play with modded content that adds the dinos of abs and ex to a map like ragnarok too(again if rag's volume of space for homesteading is desired.

I think you can see all then really is your own personal choice in regards to just where you want to hang your hat.

Would it not be smart to live in Scorched Earth cause it looks so nice to me? Should I be more practical; or will it not matter too much?

Scorched is the 2nd toughest map ( of the officials) imo. Ya if you want that challenge, go for it!

1. There is a scorched earth biome on rag. There is also one on the extinction map. There is also one on modded maps such as Volcano, Crystal Isles(also a very pretty map once you know all the spots it has), and many more.

2. Again you're asking an aesthetic question. My first sentence of my first post was my main point of which I then started to elongate into all the variations of choices you have. If you so adamantly feel that the obelisk oasis on SE is of such breath taking beauty (and you havent/dont want to really see the other places on other maps that you may find more beautiful) (personally I like the caves of the Volcano mod map you can build in and its Blue obelisk mountain top area or the caves of rag or the greek island motif spot with its ruins or the tropical beaches area in the southern part of crystal isles or the blossoms area etc etc etc)......

Then do as you aesthetically please. You're in single player, you can summon in resource or dino or use creative mode and craft anything you desire on -any- map. Again hang your hat where you wish but its your ultimate choice based on what you aesthetically(ie beauty in the eye of the beholder) like.

Do you understand?

Only as tough as he wishes to make it(or easy) in single player as he's doing.
