how to deal with Alpha Mosa on Singleplayer Mode + Default Rates

pretty much the topic title, 54k health to deal with is quite a pain in the crack 0_o And I want to go to Caverns of Lost Faith, but the wiki mentioned there's Alpha Mosa's there and I kinda need to fight the Megapithecus soon

Take a squad or Barry's with you. Like half the game is using dinos to your benefit. So learn your whistles. Learn your command groups. And go kill some mosa.

Tame yourself a couple of highlevel squids and breed + imprint one and put a good saddle on it. It will totally destroy everything in your way.

Mosa's will generally not agro on you in the underwater caves...Unless you attack them

With difficulty 8, max wild level 240, my basilo has 100k health. Worst I had was down to 1/3 of that after hart water cave. When I was doing it first time and was not sure, I brought 2 basilos, mate boosted. Saddles for basilos and tusos are difficult to find, that's why use what is available. I did hard water cave first time with primitive saddles BTW.

Essentially, tame up before you do hard content - you need good water tames, and yes, you need to be able to kill alpha mosa on its own before you go into hard water cave, because there you will be fighting alphas + other creatures as a group.

almost any tamed squid can handle an alpha mosa. hit till ur hp low switch to right click skill to drain hp and back to ragular attack

I agree with this for that cave. The mosa have a small agro range and are easy to avoid.

thats the easy water cave you literally just need a scuba tank anything that can go in the water.
persnally i prefer frogs, but baryonix works too.you can pretty much ingore everything including any alpha mosas in the cave. get your loot and move on. with a frog or bary you can just get out of the water to the land areas to lose any shark or whatever that you do agro.

Now if you just want to rambo everything or even take on alpha mosas outside of caves, a bred basilo with a decent armor saddle can smash just about everything.with a 200+ armor and bred basilo with 40k health and the rest dumped into melee you can even rambo your way thru the hard water cave and take on the mountains of sharks that are inside.

The extra problem here is: I want to get 100% explorer notes achievement on it as well, trying to get a 700% explorer note gameclear, or soon to be: 900%

mosasaurs in that cave are glitched and will not move and attack so you're good just bring a decent basilo and bite it for half an hour straight
