Vault break in

I know that burglary - usually called 'raiding' etc are part of the game. With the VAULT being touted as the ultimate in storage I found it is not. Am on an official server small tribe, and had my vault burgled two days ago - of course all the great stuff including all my dinos was gone. Worst part was all the birds...
I searched online and found there is software that allows breaking into ark vaults. WHY is this allowed on officical ark servers? You can get into ark vaults in as little as 20 seconds and as long as 20 mins. So again, why is this mod/software cheat allowed/. I have some backup stuff I can fall back upon, but would like to know why this cheating is allowed on Ark?

Did you have the vault in multiple chambers?

But since undermeshing is a big thing, that doesn't always work.

Don't use vaults for storage, use them to reinforce your ground floor walls. Hide a mortar and pestle inside a foundation or something to store your high value items. Don't use buried tames they are way too easy to find

If you're super paranoid you could take it one step further and vault drop in the ocean behind some underwater foilage or do the same with a rock golem.

Kitsune - thanks for the reply - no, it wasnt behind walls. Seeing as how destroying a foundation with a vault on it doesn't destroy the vault, I could have encased it in stone fencing and walls.

Vesuvius - thank you for the reply as well - the small tribes server has a lot of traffic from griefers. So only had enough for ONE vault. Should have encased it in metal. Thanks for the idea! But since the "L" command does not show vault access I have no idea who dunnit - and am sure the Devs wont tell me.... Thanks though!

Brax - thank, man. GREAT idea. Just seems kinda naked leaving a 140+ Argie in an open foundation. The last griefer through destroyed the ENTIRE building, but they usually dont. Thank you!

Catpickles - thanks to you too - GOOD idea. I did that in the ocean near the snow biome but had my raft too close - they whacked the vault too. Next time will park further away.

Its not that the devs 'wont' tell you... its that they 'cant' tell you.... battleye is the program responsible for detecting 3rd party cheat software... there is no way for an admin to tell dho dunnit or how without actualy being there or seeing video footage.
