Terror Bird vs. Raptor. Better mount?

I have a question. On a PVE server, I currently have a Raptor (LVL 204) Tamed. I wondered if Prime and Mutton taming a Terror Bird above level 100 would be worth it. I've seen many videos of Terror Bird vs. Raptor, and it seems like Terror Bird bests raptor in almost every scenario. I had a friend tell me that 'Terror Birds were added to the game only to be annoying, and that they're weaker then Raptors,' but this doesn't seem to be the case.


I'm newer to the game, so apologies for any confusion I may have.

I'd say Terror bird.
Raptor is a beast in PvP because it can knock and damage people of some of the mounts, but Terror Bird is hands down better in PvE imo.

I'd say my theory is correct, then. I don't know why my friend would say this because he has over 3000 hours into the game. He hates Terror Birds. Nevertheless, I'm going to tame one.

Similar. Both fast but low carry weight.

Terror birds can jump from heights and flutter down. Useful.

With only a single Dino, I'd go for terror bird. But a pack of Raptors With the semi new buff? Idk...

Taming high level Raptors is a pain. They take a long time, and aren't really worth it, in my opinion. I got chased down by a Yutyrannus FFS. I want something that can outrun most things, and Terror Bird seems to take the cake.

This.. single raptor isn't as good as a single terror bird. But if you go pack vs pack the raptors will come out ahead with the leader using pack buff.

I hate terror birds will kill everyone I see. That little joyful wing flap when they see you. Have been attacked by 12+ once in the redwoods. Hate those things.

Terror Birb has more base health and speed from Level 1.

As I said, Terror Bird wins in a 1v1. Doesn't matter the stats basically, it still wins. If there is even one more raptor though..

One vs one still in the terror birds favor, but when it comes to a PACK the raptors pack call will put the raptor pack ahead.
