Performance and Optimization.

WildCard... Add more fixes and less dinos. We need FPS increases and better performance optimization. I'm not saying Minecraft-level FPS, I just mean something that even a beefy PC can run decently. The lag and crashing is just absurd. And, ARK community, as someone with 3k hours in the game... I know what I'm talking about. Do not try to say, "well you just have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pc", please, my PC is well above, above average. My thoughts on the game should not cause you to throw a tantrum and go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy and say this game performs well. It doesn't. Over the course of many "patches" and "updates", it seems that the performance of ARK has dropped to zero in their priorities list.

Haven't had any issues, running mostly epic settings, great fps, hardly ever have crash issues/disconnects

Granted I've mostly moved away from official servers, so maybe thats the problem

OP uses vague terms like "beefy" and "above, above average", OP neglects to post concrete specs, OP hasn't played the game in at least two weeks.... seems a little suspicious.

Agreed. Another wank post. My i7, 32gb ram, and 1080TI have zero issues running ark on epic settings.

I know but they can at least slow down the rendering for many lupi cores and grassland centrals and boost each system by 5 fps

There has been nothing BUT tweaks, balances and Fixes ever since.

They optimize, then add things and break the previous optimizations. and then the cycle repeats. It's the same in all games like this.

the game is just realy trash optimazed. yeah it runs fine if you raid a small base with 100 or less turret and about 2k structures.

but try and raid a base with 2k turret and 20k structures and 300+ turret pr tower.
as soon as you start to soak you cant move. and everyone in render start to rubberband.

if the game was as good as some off thise people say it is then why does someone with a 2080ti still have to use ini and low grafiks to get 40+ fps in BIG bases.

i love the game and have played it since alpha. but the hardware demand for this game is just too big maybe when RTX 6080 come around in 6 years then maybe it will start to run fine

FPS are good enough. We need another engine to get rid of the stone age graphics. Everytime i play ARK, it feels like it's still in alpha stage. It's so ugly, even on epic settings... higher FPS won't change that.
