Ark Keeps Freezing And Wont Start Into Game, Ubuntu 19.04
Every time i start ark, a couple seconds in, it freezes for about a minute, unfreezes and then it is very slow *about 15 fps* in the menus, after that i try to start theisland, the center, or ragnorak it wont even get past primalgamedata bp, my specs
Core i7 8750H Coffee Lake
Nvidia gtx 1050 ti 4gb gddr5
16gb ram
Ubuntu of course
My specs blow the minimum requirements so i know thats not a problem,
i tried verifying game files and all off that
who knows maybe it could be a ubuntu problem, any help would be appreciated...

Yes, i am indeed using my gpu, because i remember it was a pain figuring out how to switch from my integrated card, i recently bought a 2TB hard drive and i only took up 500 GB
Does steam agree? Check your specs as steam sees it.

I am not aware of any issues with your computer because I have similar specs to yours and I have that issue sometimes and I'm gaming on windows. I think it is just because ark is still poorly optimized

it probably would've been helpful to say that it worked fine when i had windows, but i normally use ubuntu as my main, it just has so many features, its lightweight and much faster/snappier.

Check you have a large enough paging file as well.

Dont know if ubuntu uses them... but i know it helps to have an overly large one on windows.

ok, wow so i was waiting for about 30 minutes for ark to see if ark would just so happen to load, and as i was typing it just loaded in right now, but there are many graphical artifacts.
