It's a total mess !
They are probably working on this major issue. We hope so and we can't do anything else than crossing fingers...
Ark update 11-6-19 that introduced new HLNA notes and Corrupted Avatar boots, has changed something else in the background. No information has been given about this change, but I can only speculate that it effects mods using spawn from dino data functions. I suspect a signature change to that function and it may not be fixable until they release a new dev kit update. It effects Dino Storage, Easy Cryo, S+ Vivarium, S+ Cloning Chamber and more... Essentially, anything that uses spawn from dino data. Vanilla cryopods will work simply because they have the signature change updated, but I can't do that until a dev kit update is released. Hopefully I, or Zen Rowe, can help assist in a work around to resolve the issue. The issue at hand being, that releasing a dino messes up your team. Everything stays green and interactable, but it's counting you as an enemy and you can't ride dinos. The cause is unknown, and it's strange because I only deal with dino stuff and certainly do nothing to the player in my mod. Anyhow, I wish you all the best and I will be dilligently working in the background to find any way possible to get around the issue.
I have a few ideas to try...
- Option A) Sever the `get team` link from the player that connects to `spawn from dino data`, and than force set the dino team *after* it spawns. Basically leave no player links whatsoever tied to that function.
- Option B) Teleport the player a forward half-step, or forward and back a little, on release. If teleportation fixes it, maybe this hack can too.
Each cook takes 3 hours. So it's a lot of "hurry up and wait". First test is cooking. Going to push it to the test branch in the morning. Wife will kill me if she sees me up this late.Fingers crossed.
Like, innocuous patch of 50mb? Graphics card grows limbs and tries to choke me. Unrealistic? Maybe, but this is Ark after all...
Just line up a few bunk beds and every time you do something bed travel from one to the other, don't forget to pick up your stuff.
